DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1   Yangon Arrival
Arrive Yangon by evening flight. Welcome by our tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel, Yangon.

 

Day 2   Yangon sightseeing
After breakfast at the hotel, Yangon sightseeing starts from Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, walk into the Great Cave (man - made cave), which was built to hold sixth synod of Buddhist monks in order to revise the Buddhist scriptures. Proceed to Law Ka Chantha Abaya Labha Muni Buddha Image being curved from a Superlative Monolithic marble stone measure over 37 feet high, nearly 24 feet wide and 12 feet thick weighting 500 tons  -  the largest of its kind in Myanmar history. Afternoon sightseeing commences from Chaukhtat Kyi (six - story) Pagoda, houses the fourth largest reclining Buddha in Myanmar. Of particular interest are the soles of the Buddha inscribed with 108 sacred symbols. Then proceed to Kandawgyi (Royal Lake). Take photo of Glittering Shwedagon Pagoda from the opposite bank across Royal Lake. Also take photo of Karaweik (Royal Barge) from the Baganlone Island. Next visit to gold encrusted Shwedagon Pagoda. On platform are 64 smaller pagodas with four large ones right in the center of the four cardinal points. Watch the sunset at Glorious Shwedagon Pagoda. Then visit China Town to get an amazing experience by walking through the china town. Stay overnight at hotel, Yangon.

 

Day 3   Yangon-Moeyongyi Wetland (bird watching)
Drive to Moeyongyi wetland, 70 miles (112 km) from Yangon and takes 3 hours drive. Arrival at Moeyongyi, bird watching by boat in the lake, 40 square - mile (103 sq km) including 40 species of water fowl and 30 species of migratory birds. Stay overnight at Moeyongyi.

 

Day 4   Moeyongyi Wetland-Pho Kyar Elephant Camp
After breakfast, drive to Taungoo, 154 miles (246 km) from Moeyongyi. And proceed to Pho Kyar Elephant camp. You can do soft trekking in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Pho Kyar Resort.

 

Day 5   Pho Kyar Elephant Camp
After breakfast, watching the elephant bathe. After that do elephant riding in the forest about one hour. After lunch at the camp, then trek to the elephant camp which is near resort where you can meet elephant trainers and study their way of lives. Stay overnight at Pho Kyar Resort.

 

Day 6   Elephant camp-Yangon
Drive back to Yangon (about 175 miles from Taungoo) after breakfast. Check in to the Yangon hotel. Yangon free day or sightseeing. Stay overnight at hotel, Yangon.

 

Day 7   Yangon Departure
After breakfast, visit Botataung Pagoda, built in AD 997 legend has it that 1,000 officers brought two hairs of Buddha. It is a hollow pagoda with Zigzagging corridor with walls completely covered in mosaic mirror glass. Next, proceeds to Nanthida Jetty and watch the traffic on the Yangon River. Here, luxury cruise liners come to berth at this jetty quite often. After lunch shopping at Bogyoke Aung San Market before called Scott's Market, where one can buy many items in one place. This Market was built in British colonial times and has a colonial shape. Transfer to the airport for departure by evening flight.
